The music is stirring, the characters believable, the predicaments breath taking. How very luck was the then audience who had nothing else to compare. And we are even luckier to get a glimpse of what was preserved. Lucky us that Nasa was not there to erase the tapes.

Great serial, but in my recollection nowhere near as good as "Quatermass and the Pit" (the serial and not the movie)and the "The Quatermass Experiment" (I think that was the title) Hoping to see them here soon!

this series was great! the x-files was a teenage circle-jerk compared to Quatermass II. perhaps we're not yet ready for it!

I just finished watching the serial of Quatermass
II and after a rather slow start of ten minute in episode I, it got rather interesting. It's worth the download of all six episodes and despite what one person evaluation of the character; the series was written by Noel Kneale's who wrote all the serial drama of early BBC's dramas (including a 6 part serial of 1984 with Peter Cushing) Robert Holmes was inspired by the excellant adaptations of Kneales' work that he took it another step forward-Dr.Who. Can you get the other Quatermass serial- The Experiment(1953) and Quatermass and the Pit(1956)?
